| Do ranches cater for novice riders? |
| Yes most cater for all levels of rider, including beginners, however a few are suited to the more experienced rider. |

| I have a child of 5, are they able to ride? |
| They will be able to ride in the arena and will be led around. Children over the age of 6 can ride at many ranches |

| If we go out for the day are the children taken care of? |
Some ranches in the Rocky Mountain region have child councillors and kids programmes. The Tanque Verde and White Stallion ranches in Arizona have year round programmes for kids. |

| My spouse does not ride, what other options are available? |
| Depending on your choice of ranch, tennis, fishing, mountain biking, hiking, rafting and golf are available. |

| Can we ride alone? |
| No you are always accompanied by a wrangler |

| Do I have to ride Western style? |
| No, but basic instruction is given and it is easier than English style |

| Are riding hats, boots and jeans available at the ranches? |
| A few ranches have a very limited supply of hats but if you want to ride in a hard hat (this is entirely your choice), we suggest you take your own. Boots and jeans are available at local Western Stores, if required; prices are virtually half the price you would pay in the U.K. |

| What riding gear is required on a ranch holiday? |
| We send a list once a reservation is made |

| Will we have a TV or telephone in our accommodation? |
| In most cases no, but TV and telephones are usually available in the main lounge as well as DVD’s. |

| Do we have to take towels etc? |
| No, towels are provided and replaced frequently. |

| Are special diets catered for? |
| Ranches try and take care of most requests. Any special requests should be entered on the guest personal details form sent with your confirmation invoice. |

| Can we obtain alcohol at the ranch? |
| Only a few ranches have licensed bars. However, on arrival at your destination airport the ranch driver will happily make a stop at a liquor store. |
|
| Can we extend our stay, i.e. visiting a coastal resort or visit a city such as Los Angeles? |
| No problem at all, we will assist you in planning your own unique itinerary. |
|
| I wish to keep in contact with my office by mobile phone, is this possible? |
| Most ranches are out of range for receiving or sending mobile calls / text messages. However, you can receive e-mails or faxes using the facilities in the ranch office, with permission from the owner and at cost. |

| Do I need to drive? |
| No, over 90% of our ranches offer transfers from the nearest airport. |
|
| If I drive myself to the ranch, do you provide directions or a map? |
| We provide you with a detailed route, maps and telephone number of the ranch. |

| What is the best time of year to travel and what are weather conditions like? |
| Only ranches in Arizona & Texas are open all year round and a few in Wyoming and Montana are open for Winter adventures. Call for specific advice. |

| Are ranch holiday suitable for singles? |
| Yes absolutely, many of our bookings are for single people travelling alone. |
|
| Are there other guests at the ranch? |
Yes, there will be other guests and the number will depend on the time of year and the size of ranch. Please note the riding ability of other guests may be different to yours. Also you will normally eat together with other guests. |

| Are there any hidden costs? |
| No other than alcohol and the occasional side trip you may wish to take. |
|
| Is riding dangerous and are there risks with other activities on the ranch? |
Ranch Holidays and horse riding holidays are not free from risk or danger and you must follow the advice and guidance of ranch staff at all times. Horses can be unpredictable animals and you should take care when around horses.
Unaccompanied riding is not allowed under any circumstance. You must always be accompanied by a wrangler. Please note hard hats are generally not available, if you wish to ride in a hard hat we advise you to take your own. We recommend that children wear hard hats when riding.
Many of the ranches are working farms and so you need to be aware of machinery and animals on the ranch and you must follow instruction from the staff at all times. Some activities on a ranch may not be covered by insurance and you participate in these activities at your own risk.

| Do I need travel Insurance? |
Medical treatment in America can be expensive, for this reason insurance is obligatory and is a condition of booking.
Clients should take out adequate travel insurance for their holiday and they should check it covers all activities they plan to take. |

| Do I need a visa to travel to the USA? |
The US operates a Visa Waiver Programme (VWP) and so most British passport holders do not require a visa, providing they meet the necessary criteria. The VWP is valid for up to a 90 day stay. Individual passports are required and must be machine readable. Those issued after the 26 Oct 2006 will need to contain biometric data.
On arrival in the US visitors will need to provide the address of their first nights' stay.
