Tanque Verde Ranch is one of America’s old-time cattle and guest ranches that has evolved into one the finest resorts in the southwest. Located on 640 acres in the lush foothills of the Rincon Mountains, this ranch offers miles of scenic riding and hiking trails to explore the rugged Sonoran Desert.
Tanque Verde Ranch offers 180 horses to ride over 60 thousand acres of pristine natural beauty. Riding is offered every day, as well as riding lessons for beginner (trail rides) and advanced riders (loping rides). Full-day rides are offered once a week and a breakfast ride out into the desert with a cowboy breakfast is offered at least twice a week. Private rides, sunset rides, lessons on horsemanship, team penning are other activities available.
Facilities include indoor and outdoor pools, hot tubs, tennis courts and La Sonora Spa. Ranch activities include fishing, guided hiking, mountain biking and weekly evening barbecues with live western entertainment. There is a fully supervised children’s programme (4-11yrs old, open 7am - 3pm, year round) incorporating riding with activities such as tennis, swimming, nature trails and games. Weddings can also be arranged.
Meals are served in the luxurious main dining room overlooking the Rincon mountains, dinner menus change throughout the week. Additionally, several indoor and outdoor speciality dining events are held each week such as the Old Homestead Breakfast Ride and Cottonwood Grove BBQ.
There are a variety of rooms types available to accommodate singles or groups. All rooms are air conditioned with en suite bathrooms and many offer fireplaces and patios. Reddington rooms are for 2-4 guests, Casitas are more modern, larger in size and can accommodate upto 6 guests. Sonoran Suites offer the most luxurious lodgings, each suite accomodates 3-8 people with a seperate bedroom.
