Ranch Season - May-Oct
Wyoming, the least populated state in the USA, is home to more wildlife than people and is a place where there are still cowboys and Indians and where the countryside is unspoiled, wild and open.
Wyoming is home to Yellowstone National Park, the world's first national park where thousands of thermal features can be witnessed. The park is only renowned for its geological activity and Old Faithful geyser but also the varied nature and wildlife. Just to the south is the stunning Grand Teton National Park. Ranching, cattle drives and rodeos are just some of the many outdoor activities that can be enjoyed throughout this beautiful state.
Other scenic highlights include Bighorn Canyon, Fossil Butte and the awesome Devil's Tower. In Cody, the Buffalo Bill Historical Centre is a superb trio of museums and there is a nightly rodeo in the summer months. Cheyenne, the capital of Wyoming, also has rodeos in July during the Frontier Day festivities and there are other wild west attractions year round.
